I recently finally got my hands on an oscilloscope. As a college student I couldn't afford a new one and I also couldn't stomach the ebay scalping, so I had to bide my time until the amateur radio club had one up for grabs. It's not new- it's a good couple decades old, but it does the trick for some basic debugging (for now, while I still haven't figured it all out yet). What I was really excited to try, especially with its classic phosphor display, is persistance-of-vision XY mode drawing.
